ID Released For Man Found Dead In Montauk Park

A man found dead in Montauk by a person taking a walk in Kirk Park has been identified by Suffolk County Police

Robert Casado, 38, of Montauk, was found around 7:30 a.m., Thursday, June 6, by the person who then called police reporting an unconscious man in the park, said the Suffolk County Police.

East Hampton Town Police responded, and found Casado who had suffered head injuries and was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Officials from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner will determine a cause of death.
